The Trip
The Grand Canyon offers one of the most spectacular geological extravaganza on earth. It stretches for nearly 280 miles, measures from 4 to 18 miles in width, and averages a mile in depth. It encompasses more than 1.2 million acres, consists of raised plateaus, steep-walled canyons, desert basins and forests at higher elevations.
I’ve not settled on a particular trip operator or dates yet, but it’s likely to be one of these two unless something changes my mind! I do know that it will be an 8 day trip using a motorised raft; I want it to be about the trip and rapids not about rowing of the raft!

As soon as I’ve decided on an operator and some dates, I’ll update the site with more info about the trip and what I can expect. At the moment it’s just me undertaking this trip, crossing it off my bucket list if you will, but if anyone else fancies coming along for the experience, that’s just fine by me!
